Love This Place I Call "Home"
My love for Amelia Island began many years ago when my great uncle moved here in the early 2000’s. He was so proud of his new island (that I had never even heard of) and was eager to show it off to our family. Being a realtor himself, he would drive me around fervently pointing out all the sights like a tour guide, making sure I didn’t miss one inch of his piece of paradise, and the rest is history…
The love that my great uncle had for this island spread and years later, while I was in college at Valdosta State University, my parents moved here from my hometown of Alpharetta, Georgia. During one of my visits to my new “home”, I was introduced to my husband, Jake, who was born and raised here. After a year of dating long distance back and forth from Atlanta, where I was working as an elementary school teacher, I officially moved to Amelia to eagerly begin the rest of my life.
Fast forward 10 years, and here I am still loving this place I proudly call “home” with Jake, our three young boys, William, Hank, and Miles, and our Boykin spaniel, Duke. We live for beach days, exploring the greenway, and hanging out with all the friends we’ve made here. My knowledge of the area-including all the wonderful schools and places that are alluring to families, is what drives me to share my passion for living here with you. I am honored to join Terri Tennille and her amazing Island Team serving an area that I love.
